From Gudalur to the Globe: Fuad's Story of Passion and Perseverance

Born in a small town called Gudalur near Ooty, Fuad grew up surrounded by the beauty of nature. His father ran a shop that sold film rolls, which may have been the source of young Fuad's fascination with the world around him. He was always curious and eager to explore new places and cultures, and his passion for travel was only matched by his love for cricket.

After completing his education in Gudalur, Fuad moved to the bustling metropolitan city of Bangalore. There, he lived in a hostel and made many friends who shared his love for adventure. They started traveling to places in and around Bangalore, such as Kodaikanal and Gokarna, using the limited pocket money sent to them by their families every month. Fuad coordinated these trips, building itineraries and managing finances, and his passion for travel and tourism only grew stronger.
After completing his Bachelor’s degree in Bangalore, Fuad returned to his hometown to take care of his father’s business. It was during this time that a friend named Salim noticed his passion for travel and tourism and advised him to pursue a Master’s degree in MBA in Tourism. Fuad was eager to take his friend’s advice and enrolled in Christ College in Bangalore.
However, when he arrived at the college, he was disappointed to find that the admissions for the MBA in Tourism program were full. But fate had other plans for him. A student who had enrolled in the program had dropped out, and Fuad was given an opportunity to appear for an entrance exam with just two days of preparation. Despite not making the cut-off, Fuad’s passion and dedication impressed the college Dean, who offered him admission to the course in the vacant seat and he passed out with flying colors.
At the time of his graduation, the world was grappling with the SARS virus, and the job market was dull. However, Fuad was determined to make it big and got himself a job with Malaysian Airlines. This opportunity helped him gain exposure in the industry.
In no time, Fuad moved on to join Cox and Kings where he was in charge of selling trade fairs. This was a great learning experience for him as he was able to travel to different destinations and curate itineraries for people. He was also given the opportunity to work in the Meetings, Incentives, and Conference departments of Cox and Kings. Fuad’s hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed, and he was promoted several times within the organization.
In 2010, Fuad took a leap of faith and joined Thomas Cook as a Manager. This opportunity was a turning point in his career as he had the chance to visit some exotic locations across the globe. Over the years, he proved his worth and got promoted to higher positions within the company. By the time he left the organization due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Fuad was a Associate Vice President. During his time at Thomas Cook, he was able to travel to unique destinations across the globe and expand his knowledge of the travel and tourism industry.

Today, Fuad is a successful travel and tourism consultant and entrepreneur, helping people plan their exotic dream vacations and explore new destinations. His journey from a small town in Gudalur to the world of travel and tourism is a testament to the power of passion and hard work. He continues to inspire others to follow their dreams and explore the world, one adventure at a time.
